May is National Health and Fitness Month

The LIFECENTER Health & Fitness Club celebrates May with a full month of events including free screenings and evaluations to a series of lectures on various topics.  Some events do charge a fee for service and may require registration.  Be sure to pick up your calendar of events at the LIFECENTER desk.

28th Annual Apple Blossom Run
Saturday, May 10th, 2008

Come join in this GREAT Bartlett tradition. Participants of any age may enter the 5K or 10K Run. Children ages 2-5 may enter the Kiddie 50 (yard dash) or children ages 6-10 may enter the Kiddie 1/8 mile (run). All Kiddie Races will be held on the Indoor Track of the LIFECENTER. All participants are required to sign a waiver. Pre-registration opens March 1st and closes at 1pm on May 2nd. You must complete a specific Apple Blossom Run registration form. No other forms will be accepted. Walkers and Strollers Divisions for the 5K only. T-shirt and correct size guaranteed to all pre-registered runners. Race Day registration available from 6:30-7:30am. T-shirts available while supplies last. No size guarantee on race day. Registration is also available at www.bartlettparks.org. Awards and raffle prizes presented after the completion of the Kiddie races; you must be present to win raffle prizes. No pets allowed during the race. 5K/10K $15 (Fees increase by $10 after May 2nd). Youth races $10 ( Fees increase by $5 after May 2nd).

Octoberfit

You have heard of Octoberfest well the LIFECENTER Health & Fitness Club celebrates Octoberfit with a full month of events including free screenings and evaluations to a series of lectures on various topics.  Some events do charge a fee for service and may require registration.  Be sure to pick up your Octoberfit calendar of events at the LIFECENTER desk.

 

LIFECENTER Indoor Sprint Triathlon - Saturday, October 18th, 2008

The LIFECENTER Health & Fitness Club with Direct Fitness Solutions are presenting a Indoor Sprint Triathlon.  Don't miss out on this fun filled event: 10 minute swim, 15 minute bike & 15 minute run.  Waves start every 20 minutes beginning at 7 am.  With 6 participants per wave and a total of 8 waves space is limited so register early to be part of this event.  Winners will be determined by the total distance covered.  Awards will be given to the Overall Male & Female and medals will be given for first and second place in each age group.

 

Polar Express Train Ride

Break out your favorite pajama's and join us as we bring Chris VanAllsburg's best seller "The Polar Express" to life.  Santa's Elves will read aloud during the all-reserved Polar Express ride to the North Pole.  At the North Pole Santa will join us on board and will make his way through the train and present each child with their very own first gift of Christmas.
